3D printing is the future

Okay, so 3D-printing is really neat, but how many garden gnomes and tinker-toys does the average person need to paint and display? Actually, 3D Printing is already advancing rapidly - you can already make more than simple solid objects. For instance, you can create objects with internal, or external moving parts, and you can print in more than one color at the same time!

Some 3D-printers are actually PRINTED entirely by other 3D-printers! So you can actually create very advanced 3D objects on your 3D printer.

People have printed: acoustic guitars, looms, model vehicles, replacement parts for you car/bike/boat/plane, simple machines, cellphone cases, wallets, shoes, boomerangs, jewelry, dishes, and even clothing.

Okay, so 3D printing is advancing, but it's got to be expensive still, right? Actually prices have come down quite a bit, and 3D printers are about as expensive as a mid-range laptop computer.

The FlashForge 3D printer is currently just over twelve-hundred dollars - that might sound like a lot, but really: it's about the price of a new laptop or a brand new color laser printer.
